ABOUT THIS MESSAGE
1. The Expectant Person Lives Watchfully
The Bible reminds believers to remain alert, as no one knows the exact time of Christ’s return (Matthew 24:42). Just as Jesus warned in Matthew 25:13, “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour,” a prepared heart remains spiritually awake, discerning the times, and living in readiness.
2. The Expectant Person Advances God's Kingdom
A true believer does not remain idle but actively invests in the work of God’s kingdom. In Matthew 25:15, Jesus teaches about the talents, showing that God entrusts each person with gifts and responsibilities. Those who expect Christ’s return will faithfully steward their time, resources, and calling to spread the gospel and bring transformation.
3. The Expectant Person Lives with Accountability
Christ’s return calls for a life of faithfulness and perseverance. In 1 Corinthians 15:58, Paul exhorts, “Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain.” A prepared heart does not live in fear but in faithfulness, knowing that one day, they will stand before Christ and give an account of their life.
